Commencal Unique by À La Carte just debuted three new custom Meta TR all-mountain trail bikes. Not three models, but only three individual bikes… and one of them is already sold. So act fast if you need a rare shiny or sparkly alloy mountain bike.
The idea is simple – why ride the same stock bike as everyone else if you can ride something unique?
Their À La Carte online bike builds configuration tool is one of the most customizable in the industry, perfect if you already have the killer wheelset, favorite dropper & saddle, but still want to build up a new mountain bike.
But now Commencal is using the custom configurator’s powers for truly Unique bikes. So, they’ve custom painted up a few size large (large only in this micro-batch) Meta TR all-mountain bikes with one-of-a-kind premium finishes and prefabbed them with a top-shelf build kit.
Meta TR 29 Tech details
The latest Commencal Meta TR 29er is a super capable triple-butted 6066 alloy trail bike that leans so all-mountain that it’s almost enduro. Longer & slacker sure, but this 140mm linkage-driven single pivot also gets reworked flip-chip-adjustable kinematics and paired to 160mm forks.

Commencal Unique Meta TR – Options & Availability
There’s just two still available, as I type. And they are the most premium builds that Commencal offers for their aluminum trail 29er.
Pick from Glittery Pure White for 6200€ and you’ll get a 160mm Fox 38 Factory fork, Float X2 Factory shock for 140mm of rear wheel travel, and a 200mm Transfer Factory dropper. Drivetrain is no-nonsense SRAM GX Eagle mechanical paired to Shimano XT 4-piston brakes, with a Renthal cockpit, and alloy Industry Nine Enduro S wheels wrapped in 2.5″ Maxxis Assegai front/Aggressor rear tires. Complete weight is said to be 15.2kg/33.5lb.
Or pick the glossy Electric Blue bike for 6600€ with a 160mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork, Super Deluxe Ultimate air shock for 140mm of rear wheel travel, and a 175mm Reverb Stealth dropper. Drivetrain is again proven SRAM GX Eagle mechanical paired to Code RSC 4-piston brakes, a Ride Alpha cockpit, and this time with Foundation carbon ENVE AM30 wheels on Industry Nine hubs wrapped in Maxxis 2.4″ DHRII front/2.5″ Assegai rear tires.
