Hyundai (+31.7%), Ford (+22.5%), Peugeot (+20%) ignore market down -18.5% – Best Selling Cars Blog

The Hyundai Tucson ranks #4 in New Caledonia in November.

The New Caledonian market returns into negative territory in November at -18.5% year-on-year to 617 units. Keep in mind November 2021 was up 42.8% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is now up just  1% to 7,547 sales. Toyota (-18%) matches the market to secure a splendid 23.7% share, that’s almost 3 times the #2, Peugeot (+20%) in great shape. Hyundai (+31.7%) does even better at #3 while Ford (+22.5%) and Kia (+2.4%) both also defy the negative market below. Citroen (-19.1%) struggles at #6 whereas Suzuki (+133.3%) and Nissan (+36.4%) shine. Renault (-72.7%) is hit full frontal at #9. Notice Dacia (-93.8%) falling down to #22 and BYD (-66.7%) at #33.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-28.4%) easily keeps the lead with 11% share despite a drastic year-on-year loss. The rest of the Top 10 is entirely in positive, all ignoring the drab context. The Ford Ranger (+73.9%) stays in 2nd place, the Toyota Raize (+26.7%) is up three spots on October to #3, the Hyundai Tucson (+175%) is up one to #4 and the Peugeot 208 (+80%) down two to #5. Below, the Kia K2700 (+10%) edges up while the Citroen Berlingo (+112.5%), Suzuki Vitara (+1500%) and Nissan Qashqai (+1300%) all post surreal gains. The Peugeot 2008 (+40%) rounds out the Top 10.
