Nordest Kutxo Ti unlimited adventure monster gravel bike
Nordest’s affordable steel monster-gravel Kutxo gets an upgraded Ti 29er sibling in this new titanium adventure bike. Mixing the best of gravel, bikepacking, and drop bar mountain bikes – the Nordest Kutxo Ti will be your lifelong backcountry adventure partner…
Nordest Kutxo Ti unlimited adventure bike
Just over a month ago, Nordest debuted a new bikepacking cross between adventure-ready gravel and modern mountain bikes – the affordable 4130 steel Kutxo. Now built from double-butted 3-2.5 titanium tubing, the Kutxo Ti shares all the same features in a lighter, more comfy ride that still manages to be quite affordable for a ti frame.
Again, Nordest describes the Kutxo Ti as a monster gravel bike, due to its big 29×2.4″ tire clearance and mountain bike-inspired ride. It’s a bike that will be as much at home carving singletrack as it will on a multi-day bikepacking adventure.
Tech details
Adapting modern trail bike geometry for the forward hand position on drop bars, the Kutxo Ti gets slightly shorter than MTB frame reach, shorter wheelbase, and a slightly steeper 68° head angle… but all pretty progressive for a gravel bike. And with a gusseted headtube it’s still a suspension-corrected ride (rigid 483mm axle-crown is designed, 120mm suspension forks at sag with 51mm fork offset) that can swap in a 100-120mm fork if rigid carbon isn’t your cup of tea.
The Kutxo Ti is built to last at a claimed 1840g for the frame (850g less than the 4130 version).
The titanium frame itself is built with the best of modern industry standards so you can build it up with most modern components – 73mm threaded BSA bottom bracket, 31,6mm seatpost with internal dropper routing, straight 44mm headtube for straight or tapered steerer forks, 12x148mm Boost thru-axle, flat mount disc brake. Plus, it gets 3-pack anything cage mounts on top & bottom of the downtube, a seattube cage mount, toptube bag direct mount, full external cable routing guides, rear rack mounts, and front & rear full-coverage fender mounts.
